ROLE
UX/UI Designer
General Assembly UX/UI Intensive
Finding art for your apartment can be overwhelming—there’s so much out there, but how do you find something that truly resonates with your style? For my final project in General Assembly’s UX/UI intensive program, I designed StudioMel, a responsive website and interactive prototype that simplifies the art discovery process.
The project began with in-depth user research, identifying common frustrations with traditional art-buying experiences. From there, I moved into wireframing and iterating user flows, ultimately designing a fully interactive Figma prototype. I created key differentiating features and user journeys, including:
-
A personalized art quiz to match users with pieces that fit their style
-
AR/VR functionality to preview how artwork looks in their space
-
Shop by category for an easy, curated browsing experience
StudioMel cuts through the clutter, making it effortless to find and connect with art that feels like you.
